Accept USDC payments on Optimism

GramPayBot supports native Circle-issued USDC on OP Mainnet, also called Optimism. The buyer sends the supported ERC-20 token directly to the configured merchant wallet, while GramPayBot monitors the payment without holding it.

Which wallet address should the merchant add?

Use a public 0x... wallet address you control and have tested on OP Mainnet. The same visible address may exist on Ethereum and other EVM networks, but the balance on one network is not available on another.

The EVM address guide covers the 42-character format, checksum, EOA versus contract wallet and exchange deposit restrictions. The receiving address belongs to the merchant; the contract below identifies the token.

Native USDC is not legacy USDC.e

Circle publishes native OP Mainnet USDC at 0x0b2C639c533813f4Aa9D7837CAf62653d097Ff85 with six decimals in its official USDC contract catalog. Open that same contract in Optimistic Etherscan.

Do not substitute the older bridged representation commonly labelled USDC.e, or another token that copied the name and logo. GramPayBot expects Circle’s native contract above. Compare the full address using the token verification checklist.

What the buyer must select

The buyer chooses USDC and Optimism/OP Mainnet. USDC on Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum or Solana is a different route. A combined wallet balance or identical 0x destination does not make the networks interchangeable.

A self-custody sender pays gas in ETH held on OP Mainnet. Network fees vary. An exchange may deduct its own withdrawal fee and can distinguish native USDC from a bridged representation in its deposit rules.

How GramPayBot confirms the payment

The product route is optimism plus USDC. GramPayBot matches the confirmed OP Mainnet token transfer against the exact Circle contract, configured recipient and invoice amount. ETH, legacy USDC.e, USDT or USDC on another network does not qualify.

Use the transaction hash in Optimistic Etherscan to inspect status, chain, contract, recipient and token amount. A screenshot, bridge initiation or submitted exchange withdrawal is not final evidence.

Safe first payment

Create a low-value test invoice, send native USDC only after the wallet shows OP Mainnet, and confirm that the merchant can move the resulting balance. Wrong-network transfers, underpayments and payments after invoice expiry require separate review.
